History

John Barrett, Owner of ProLine Homes and Barr Homes, began his real estate career in 1972 and started focusing on new construction over 20 years ago. By working in the housing market and communicating directly with buyers, John became keenly aware of their wants and expectations. Feeling there was a need for cost effective homes with practical, yet exciting floor plans, he established Barr Homes in 2001. John’s ability to discern market trends and decipher customer’s real needs was essential in designing staple floor plans and has been the key reason for Barr Homes’ success!

In 2005, it became apparent with rising land and building costs there had become a gap in the new construction housing market and the builders building in the low mid-price range were now well over and above affordable prices. John realized that buyers needed an alternative to the area’s “community” builders in the low mid-price price point. In 2006 ProLine Homes was formed. The ProLine 2 story floor plan is a smaller version of the original Barr Homes 2 story plan that has been a huge success. ProLine offers buyers functional floor plans at an affordable price in the areas most sought after custom home subdivisions.

Standard Features

When deciding on a builder it is important to understand the standard features and allowances included in the base price of the home. ProLine Homes has one of the lowest base prices in the area and is still able to offer many standard features that are considered upgrades by other builders. The standard features are specific to the floor plan that you choose. Refer to the standard features below. ProLine Homes also has many options and upgrades available as noted on the options list below. For more information and pricing on options and upgrades available, please contact the ProLine Homes office.

Building Process

One of the most common questions received from prospective buyers is “How long does it take to build a ProLine Home?” The answer is roughly 10 months from the date of the purchase agreement. However, ProLine Custom Homes builds in many jurisdictions in the area and the turn-around time for permits and inspections can vary. Due to this variability, firm closing dates are unable to be set with a buyer until the initial inspections are completed.

Complete Building Process

If you are looking for a new home and do not have 10 months to wait, ProLine Homes has the solution for you! ProLine Homes is one of the largest spec builders in the area. There are homes for sale at all stages of construction all around the Omaha area.
